Description

The High Atlas mountains are located in the heart of Morocco and are easy to access from Marrakech. The first inhabitants of these mountains were the Berbers, that still preserve their ancestral traditions and language to this day. On this 3-day adventure, we will take you to discover this unique place.

We will set off from Marrakech and drive first to Imlil, and from there we will enjoy 3-days of trekking and exploring the region. On the way, we will encounter Berber villages, a beautiful waterfall, and the stunning landscapes of the Atlas Mountains. Keep in mind that we will hike on average a total of 5 to 6 hours a day. Therefore, you will need to be physically fit. However, this is not a demanding program, and everyone is welcome to join!So, are you ready to discover the stunning mountain culture of Morocco? Itinerary

Day 1: Imlil - Tizi-n-Mziq - Azadan valley (2800m)

The hike  starts from Imlil around 9:00 am, following a small path that leads to the first Berber village, Tizi-n-Mziq, which is nestled more than 2600m above the sea. We will enjoy a cup of tea and resume our hike. After 2 hours, we will reach the waterfall of Tamsoult perched at almost 2700m. After, it will be time for lunch. In the afternoon, we will make our way down jou. to Tizi Oussem. Distance: 14 km Time: 5h30 to 6h30 of hiking
