Description
Discover two stunning valleys in Atlas Mountains in Morocco on an unforgettable 2-day hiking adventure! We will show you its lovely valleys and people, its beautiful colors and unique flavor.
The High Atlas mountains are located in the heart of Morocco and are easy to access from Marrakech. The first inhabitants of these mountains were the Berbers, that still preserve their ancestral traditions and language to this day. On this 2-day adventure, we will take you to discover this unique place.
We will set off from Marrakech and drive first to Azzaden , and from there we will enjoy 2-days of trekking and exploring Atlas alleys. On the way, we will encounter Berber villages, great food, and the stunning landscapes of the Atlas Mountains.
Keep in mind that we will hike on average a total of 5 to 6 hours a day. Therefore, you will need to be physically fit. However, this is not a demanding program, and everyone is welcome to join!

Itinerary
Day 1: Marrakech – Tiziane(1950m) – Tizi n’Takherkhort pass 2100m– Assif zagzawn 1900m
Day 1:Marrakech – Tiziane(1950m) – Tizi n’Takherkhort pass 2100m– Assif zagzawn 1900m. Pick up from your accommodation in Marrakech at 8:30 am, and drive to the high Atlas Mountains. It will take around 1h15 drives to Tiziane; the starting point of the Trek where you will meet our local team! You will have a cup of tea before you start the hike towards the pass of Tizi n’ Takherkhort from where you will have nice views over Ouirgane Valley, Azzaden Valley & Nfiss valley .here you will enjoy a fresh meal prepared by our cook! Once you are ready, you will continue walking downhill to the village of Assif Zagzawn where you will spend the night at a Berber village house. Around 5h walk.
Day 2: Assif Zagraoun (1,700m) – Tamgerht 2489m – Ouirgane 1740m- Marrakech.
You’ll depart the refuge early in the morning after breakfast and tackle the most challenging part of the trek. The trail here is very steep, and you’ll need crampons if hiking in the snowy winter months. After a three to four-hour push to the summit at 13,671 feet, you’ll enjoy fantastic 360-degree panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and plains. You’ll have time to relax and take pictures before you begin your descent. Return via Ikhibi, then pass by Sidi Chamharouch on your way back to Imlil. A driver will bring you back to Marrakech after a total of nine hours of trekking.
